World of Hyatt is the loyalty programme of Hyatt’s brand family: Park Hyatt, Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Regency, Andaz, Alila, Hyatt Centric, Hyatt Place and the rest, plus the all-inclusive resort brands. It is a smaller estate than Marriott’s or Hilton’s, and for UAE residents it has one feature neither of them has: a published award chart. You can look up what a free night costs before you earn the points for it.
A sourcing note up front: tier thresholds, tier bonuses and the award chart on this page were read from Hyatt’s own programme overview and free-nights page, and the earn rate and expiry rule from Hyatt’s programme terms, all on 19 October 2026. Hyatt’s site lists its hotels on an interactive map we could not read, so this page does not count Hyatt’s UAE hotels. The latest UAE total we found from Hyatt itself is old: its 22 April 2019 release said the opening of Hyatt Place Dubai/Wasl District “brings Hyatt hotels in the UAE to 10 properties”. Hyatt Place Dubai/Jumeirah opened that October, so treat 10 as a 2019 figure, not today’s count.
Tier structure
World of Hyatt has four levels: Member, Discoverist, Explorist and Globalist. You qualify in a calendar year on nights or on Base Points. Bonus points from promotions and tier bonuses do not count.
| Tier | Qualifies at | Bonus on points |
|---|---|---|
| Discoverist | 10 nights or 25,000 Base Points | 10% |
| Explorist | 30 nights or 50,000 Base Points | 20% |
| Globalist | 60 nights or 100,000 Base Points | 30% |
At the base rate of 5 points per USD 1, the points routes mean USD 5,000, USD 10,000 and USD 20,000 of eligible Hyatt spend in a year: about AED 18,360, AED 36,725 and AED 73,450 at the dirham’s USD peg. For most UAE residents the nights route is the realistic one. Nights count when you pay an eligible rate or redeem a free night award.
What the tiers deliver, per Hyatt’s overview:
- Discoverist: 2 p.m. late checkout on availability, complimentary premium internet where available and a daily bottle of water.
- Explorist: upgraded rooms on availability at check-in, 2 p.m. late checkout and early access to award-night inventory.
- Globalist: upgrades up to standard suites, Club lounge access or complimentary breakfast, 4 p.m. late checkout and early access to award nights. Hyatt also has a Lifetime Globalist level at 1,000,000 lifetime Base Points.
Separately, Milestone Rewards begin at 20 qualifying nights and continue every 10 nights up to 150. The choices include points, Club access and suite upgrades.
The award chart
Hyatt sorts its hotels into eight categories and prices a standard-room free night at one of five levels per category. Per Hyatt’s free-nights page, points per night for a standard room:
| Category | Lowest | Low | Moderate | Upper | Top |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 3,000 | 4,500 | 6,000 | 7,500 | 9,000 |
| 2 | 6,000 | 7,500 | 10,000 | 12,000 | 15,000 |
| 3 | 8,000 | 12,000 | 15,000 | 17,500 | 20,000 |
| 4 | 12,000 | 15,000 | 20,000 | 22,500 | 25,000 |
| 5 | 15,000 | 20,000 | 25,000 | 30,000 | 35,000 |
| 6 | 20,000 | 25,000 | 30,000 | 35,000 | 40,000 |
| 7 | 25,000 | 30,000 | 35,000 | 45,000 | 55,000 |
| 8 | 35,000 | 45,000 | 55,000 | 65,000 | 75,000 |
Club rooms, standard suites and premium suites have their own, higher tables on the same page, and the all-inclusive resorts have a separate chart. Hyatt says standard-room free nights have no blackout dates.
The chart sets the range. Which of the five levels applies on a given date is Hyatt’s call, so check the hotel’s category and the date’s level on hyatt.com before you count on a price. We have not mapped the UAE hotels to categories.
What a Hyatt point is worth
We have no house valuation for World of Hyatt yet. Our card reviews value hotel currencies at a cost-basis baseline in fils per point (2.5 for Bonvoy, 1.5 for Hilton), and no UAE card earns Hyatt points, so there has been no review that needed one. We have not sampled UAE award prices against cash rates either, which is how our valuations methodology sets a hotel figure. Until we do, this page publishes no fils figure.
What you can do yourself: divide the cash price of the room (in AED, after tax) by the points price on the same date. That is the value you are getting for that stay. The chart makes the sum easy, because the points price is known in advance.
Who World of Hyatt suits
World of Hyatt suits the UAE resident who travels to cities where Hyatt is strong and pays for those stays: the business traveller on the nights route to Discoverist or Explorist, or the family that wants a fixed price for a resort stay a year ahead. Because the chart is published, it rewards planning rather than luck.
It suits you less if you want your hotel points to come from a credit card. No UAE card earns Hyatt points, so every point is earned on the ground. If you would rather earn hotel points on everyday spend, look at Marriott Bonvoy, which UAE cards do earn.
How to earn from the UAE
- Paid Hyatt stays. Per Hyatt’s terms, 5 Base Points per USD 1 (or the USD equivalent) on an eligible rate, and 2.5 at Hyatt Studios hotels. The tier bonuses above come on top.
- Spending at the hotel. Eligible dining, spa and other charges billed to your room earn Base Points too.
- Promotions. Hyatt runs registration-based offers, such as its 3,000 bonus points every three nights promotion to 15 December 2026 and a double-points offer at new hotels. Register before you stay.
- UAE credit cards: none. No card in our data earns World of Hyatt points or transfers into them. The World of Hyatt credit card that Hyatt’s site promotes is a Chase product.
What to watch
- Inactivity forfeits the balance. Twenty-four months with no earning or redemption and every point goes. One paid night or one redemption resets the clock.
- Price levels move. The chart is fixed, but where a date sits on it is not. A Moderate night today can be Upper next season.
- Conversions are final. Points moved to Qatar Avios or another partner cannot be moved back, per Hyatt’s terms.
- No current UAE footprint count. Hyatt’s last published UAE total we could find is 10 properties, in April 2019. Its own hotel list did not render for us, so we have no current count. This note comes out when Hyatt publishes one.

A published award chart, from 3,000 points a night
Hyatt is the one big hotel programme that still prices standard-room free nights on a published chart: eight hotel categories, each with five price levels (Lowest, Low, Moderate, Upper, Top). A Category 1 night runs 3,000 to 9,000 points and a Category 8 night 35,000 to 75,000, per Hyatt's free-nights page, read 19 October 2026. Standard-room awards carry no blackout dates. A chart lets you price a redemption before you earn for it, which no other hotel programme we cover allows.

Elite status on 10 nights, without a co-brand card
Discoverist takes 10 qualifying nights or 25,000 Base Points in a year, and free nights booked with points count as qualifying nights. For a UAE resident with no Hyatt card to lean on, that is a reachable first tier: 2 p.m. late checkout on availability, premium internet and a 10% points bonus.

The Brand Explorer free night
Stay at five different Hyatt brands and Hyatt gives you a free night award, per its programme overview. Paid stays and award stays both count. A family that mixes city, resort and airport hotels on its travels can trip it without trying.

Hyatt points to Qatar Avios, when there is a bonus
World of Hyatt is on Qatar Airways' Global Points Exchange partner list, which ran a 15% to 35% Avios bonus on conversions to 31 October 2026. The offer page does not state the conversion rate and we have not published one, so check it in your Hyatt account. Hyatt's terms say a conversion is final once submitted.
