Emirates Islamic is paying a welcome bonus of AED 500 to new holders of its Switch Cashback Credit Card who make AED 15,000 of retail spend within 60 days of card approval. The offer is valid until 31 December 2026.

  • Bonus: AED 500, paid as Cashback points
  • Spend required: AED 15,000 of retail spend
  • Window: 60 days from card approval
  • Offer valid: until 31 December 2026
  • Annual fee: none in year one, per our card data. From year two it is AED 313.95 including VAT, waived if eligible retail spend in the previous 12 months is over AED 30,000

AED 15,000 in 60 days is about AED 7,500 a month, which is a large household budget run through one card. With no first-year fee, a reader who reaches it keeps the full AED 500, on top of the card’s normal cashback on the same spend. A reader who will not reach it should not take the card for the bonus.

The offer page repeats the card’s headline rates: 4% on supermarkets, education and dining and 8% on fuel in the lifestyle setting, or up to 4% on flights, hotels and dining in the travel setting. Those rates carry a monthly minimum spend and per-category caps, set out in our Switch Cashback review, so AED 15,000 of spend does not earn 4% or 8% across the board.

Two things the page does not settle. It does not define “retail spend”, so check the Key Facts Statement for what is excluded. And it does not say whether “valid till 31 December 2026” means the application, the approval or the spend must fall before that date. Apply well before the end of the year if you want the bonus.

Our monitor recorded this welcome offer disappearing from Emirates Islamic’s offers page in September 2026. It is listed again.
