If you have an Anantara stay in Abu Dhabi or Dubai coming up, this offer does not cover it. It is worth knowing about for a trip to Europe or the Americas.
Minor Hotels runs Anantara, Avani, NH, nhow, Tivoli and several other brands. Its stays earn Avios through Iberia’s loyalty programme, and Head for Points reports that the rate is doubled until 31 October 2026.
Where it applies
Iberia’s own partner page says Minor is “a valid partner for collecting Avios across all its hotel brands in Europe and America.” On Iberia’s wording, Anantara’s UAE hotels are not covered. Head for Points puts it more bluntly: only hotels in Europe and the Americas earn, and Minor’s hotels in Asia and Australasia are excluded.
What you earn
Per Head for Points, a night at a Minor hotel earns 200 to 450 Avios, depending on the hotel, and up to 900 with the double offer.
Those figures rest on Head for Points. Its link to Iberia for the rates leads to the same Iberia partner page we read, which shows no rates. And neither Iberia’s page nor Minor’s own offers page, both read on 27 September, mentions the double-Avios offer. We have not been able to confirm it with either company. Head for Points also does not say whether 31 October is the last date to stay or to book.
How to collect
Head for Points says the Avios go only to an Iberia Club account: you give your Iberia Club number at the hotel, and British Airways Club numbers are not accepted. From Iberia Club, it says, you can move the Avios to British Airways with the “Move Avios” feature online.
Many UAE residents keep their Avios with Qatar Privilege Club. Neither Iberia’s page nor Head for Points’ article mentions Qatar, and we could not confirm that Avios earned this way can be moved there. Do not assume they can.
Worth doing?
Only with a Minor stay in Europe or the Americas while the offer runs, and only if you already collect Avios with Iberia or British Airways. Minor also belongs to the GHA DISCOVERY scheme; Head for Points says it “may be more valuable than earning Avios”. Price both before you give a number at check-in.
