Air Arabia will fly Sharjah to Amman City Airport (ADJ) from 15 November 2026, four times a week. The airline announced the route in a press release on 8 October.
Air Arabia already flies from Sharjah to Amman’s main airport, Queen Alia International. Amman City Airport is the capital’s second airport, so this gives Sharjah passengers a choice of two airports in Amman.
The schedule
All times are local, as published by Air Arabia:
| Flight | Route | Departs | Arrives | Days |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| G9 169 | Sharjah → Amman City | 08:00 | 10:30 | Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun |
| G9 170 | Amman City → Sharjah | 11:20 | 15:15 | Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun |
The airline says it flies Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. AeroRoutes lists a mix of A320, A320neo and A321neo on the route.
Why it matters if you live in the UAE
The Friday and Sunday flights are the useful pair. You can leave Sharjah at 08:00 on a Friday and be back by mid-afternoon on Sunday, which makes a weekend in Amman possible without taking leave. Both legs run on the same four days.
Air Arabia’s release says the Group also flies to both Amman airports from Zayed International in Abu Dhabi. Abu Dhabi residents already have that option, so the new route is mainly for Sharjah and the northern emirates.
The release gives no fares, so check the price for your dates on Air Arabia’s website before you compare it with a Queen Alia flight. Tickets are on sale now through the website, the call centre or travel agents.
Loyalty
Air Arabia’s own programme is Air Rewards. The release does not mention a launch offer or bonus points on the route.
