Standard Chartered is giving Journey Credit Card holders 10% cashback, capped at AED 100 per statement, on purchases at duty-free stores in all UAE airports. The offer runs from 1 March 2025 to 31 January 2027.

  • Cashback: 10%, up to AED 100 per statement
  • Where: duty-free stores at all UAE airports (merchant category code 5309)
  • Condition: at least one airline transaction on the card in the 180 calendar days before the duty-free purchase, made directly with an airline or travel agency (MCC 3000, 3301 and 4722)
  • How it pays: credited automatically as a cashback credit on the Journey statement
  • Cards: Standard Chartered Journey Credit Card; primary and supplementary spend count together
  • Expires: 31 January 2027

The cap is reached on AED 1,000 of duty-free spend in a statement period (10% of AED 1,000 is AED 100). There is no code and no registration step on the page; the qualifying condition is the airline ticket.

That condition is the catch. The ticket has to be bought on the Journey card, directly from an airline or a travel agency, within the 180 days before you shop. A ticket bought on another card does not unlock it.
