Fee summary

The card carries no annual fee and no spend threshold to keep it free. The cost to watch is the 2.99% non-AED foreign-currency markup in line with the ADCB schedule of fees, market-standard for UAE cards, with no FX advantage on overseas spend. All published fees include 5% VAT.

What you get — per-benefit value

talabat credit is AED-denominated: ADCB states the caps and the welcome in dirhams (“up to AED 35 per order as talabat credit”), so the maths is direct, with one caveat on every line. The value only realises if you keep ordering on talabat. Counted against the AED 0 annual fee.

35% on talabat orders

Value to me: AED 2,688/year for a household placing eight AED 80 orders a month (AED 28 back on each, AED 224 a month), provided the card also carries AED 2,500 of retail spend every month. At ten orders of AED 100 or more the AED 350 monthly cap binds, which is AED 4,200/year at most.

Welcome bonus

Up to AED 750 in talabat credit on AED 5,000 of spend in the first 45 days, digital-channel applications only; AED 200 for existing ADCB cardholders. Value to me: AED 750, one-time at face for a new-to-bank applicant who orders regularly; AED 200 if you already hold an ADCB card.

Everyday earn

1.25% on most domestic and international retail; 0.35% on supermarkets, fuel, education, government services, real estate, telecoms, charity, transport, auto dealers, insurance and UK/EEA merchants. Value to me: AED 235/year on the AED 2,500 a month the 35% rate needs, if AED 1,200 of it earns 1.25% (AED 180) and AED 1,300 falls in the 0.35% categories (AED 55). Paid as talabat credit, not cash.

talabat pro free delivery

Unlimited free delivery on qualifying pro orders (AED 50+ food, AED 100+ mart/grocery/pharmacy). Value to me: the delivery fee saved on every qualifying order. talabat prices delivery dynamically by area and basket, so we don’t book an annual AED figure.

Total package: roughly AED 3,670 in year one for a new-to-bank household placing eight AED 80 talabat orders a month and putting another AED 2,500 a month on the card (AED 2,688 + AED 750 + AED 235), plus the unpriced delivery savings, against no fee. In later years the same household collects roughly AED 2,900/year. A household that cannot reach AED 2,500 of monthly spend loses the 35% rate and collects a fraction of this.

Key conditions to know

35% on talabat orders
35% back as talabat credit on the first 10 talabat orders placed each calendar month, capped at AED 35 per order and AED 350 per month. Additional orders that month earn 1.25%. A minimum monthly retail spend of AED 2,500 is required; if it is not met, all talabat orders that month earn 1.25%.
0.35% categories
Domestic fuel, education, government services, real estate, telecommunications, charity, transport, supermarkets, auto dealers and insurance earn 0.35%, as do purchases at merchants in the UK and the European Economic Area. Other domestic and international retail earns 1.25%.
Welcome bonus
Up to AED 750 in talabat credit on AED 5,000 of spend in the first 45 days, for cards applied through digital channels only — the talabat app, the ADCB website, the ADCB Mobile Banking app or the Hayyak app. Existing ADCB credit-card holders receive AED 200 instead. Credited to the primary cardholder’s talabat Pay account within 90 days of card issuance.
talabat credit redemption
talabat credit sits in your talabat Pay balance and is redeemed at checkout against any talabat order — food, talabat Mart, grocery, pharmacy. No transfers to airlines, hotels, statement credit, AED cash-out or third-party programmes.
talabat pro membership
Free delivery on talabat food orders of AED 50 and above, and talabat Mart, grocery and pharmacy orders of AED 100 and above from stores tagged ‘pro’.
Eligibility
Minimum monthly salary AED 5,000, or eligibility for a credit limit of at least AED 3,500; minimum age 18. Salary transfer not required.
Network
Mastercard. ADCB’s product page also lists four complimentary airport-lounge visits through the Mastercard Travel Pass app.

Watch out for

  • The AED 2,500 spend condition. The 35% rate is the card. A month under AED 2,500 of retail spend drops every talabat order that month to 1.25%.
  • The caps. Ten orders and AED 350 a month. A household ordering daily earns 1.25% on everything after the tenth order.
  • The 0.35% list is long. Supermarkets, fuel, telecoms and government payments are much of a typical household’s spend, and they earn 0.35% here.
  • Captive-currency payout. talabat credit redeems only inside the talabat app; stop ordering there and the balance traps the rewards.
  • Existing-customer welcome is much weaker. AED 200 for existing ADCB cardholders versus AED 750 new-to-bank; this card is sharpest as a first ADCB card.

Bottom line

For a household that orders on talabat most weeks and can put AED 2,500 a month on the card, the 35% rate is worth up to AED 350 a month in talabat credit on a card with no fee, and the welcome adds up to AED 750 more. The maths collapses for an occasional talabat user or anyone who cannot meet the monthly spend, because the everyday earn is 1.25% at best and 0.35% on supermarkets, fuel and bills. Apply if talabat is a weekly habit and the card can carry AED 2,500 a month. Skip if it is not; a flat-rate AED-denominated cashback card is the cleaner hold for everyday spend.

Pay smart: for AED-denominated cashback on the spend that doesn’t go through talabat, pair this with a broad-merchant cashback card like the Mashreq Cashback, free for life and paying 1% on everyday UAE and international spend.
